Border collies worked all day with sheepherders in the rugged farm lands of Great Britain and in the evening they would follow the sheepherder to the local pub, where the border collie would lay at the sheepherders feet and keep him company. Now a day most of us that own border collies aren't exactly sheepherders, but our border collies have retained that instinct and will always find a way to be at our feet. While you are eating dinner or sitting at your desk they will want to be near you. You will not find a more loyal friend.
